There are some values which are not calculated correctly, and we were not able to fix them yet. So please go on reading to see if you use those values in your HUD!

First of all, we like to publish the first version of documentation of all existing values of the elephant, so please take a look:

Elephant value documentation - v0.1

Discussion about this document: German/english mixed feedback thread

So in this document, I marked all values in the table of content, in the following way:

1) Values which are not marked in any special way, should be right according to a internal testing process. We are about 99% sure about their correctness.

2) Values which are marked with "*" are expected to be right, but will be tested throughout this week, to be a 100% sure.

3) Values which are marked with "**" are expected to be WRONG(!). You should not use them in you HUD or base any decisions on them.

The most important values -that are calculated wrong-
are the Fold/Call/Raise to Continuation Bet values on Flop/Turn/River. Please do not use them in your HUD any more until we fixed them!
I guess and hope, that most other values are of minor importance for your play.

I am personally very sorry for not cummunicating about these bugs earlier, we expected to be much faster with bugfixing those values, but it turned out this was not the case. Not comunicating these facts, when it appeared to be clear that it will take us some more time, was a clear mistake of me, on which I am fully responsible.

Feel free to flame, I deserve it for that one. Undecided

Regards, Maik

Today I can proudly introduce a new developer to you:

Eddy - his forum account is "lendarker"

His first project is to redesign and optimize the elephant installer. The installer will be multilingual (right now, it is english for everyone) and download all required packages as postgreSQL or window packages as .NET for example, automatically through the internet.
The download size of the elephant package will get much smaller, which will favour those of you who have not a fast dsl connection.

I also want to use this blog posting to get some feedback in the comments on our latest changes of the overview tab. You feedback was clear, since most of you requested to get the view "statistics per limit" back on the overview tab.
So we decided to do it, but we redesigned this tab little bit. So thats how we have done it:

Please give some feedback what you think about this about this tabwise redesign through the comments!

Great news for all, who want to be up to date about the developement progress of the elephant.
Today we start our public bugtracking. We created a new subforum in the english pokerstrategy community especially to work transparent for all elephant users and to keep them informed about newest features and the progress of solving bugs in general.

You are also able to give feedback to bugs, from every country in one forum with one specific thread per bug, which will help us to resolve them more quickly.

The whole bugtracking will take place in this forum: PokerStrategy Software: Bugtracking

The Roadmap to v. 68 can be found in the Sticky thread of this forum right here: Roadmap v.68

We will link to already reported bugs, through the beta forums in different languages. So nothing changes for you, except all elephant users have one forum where they can watch on what we are working right now, and if their reported bug, is already solved.

Please give some Feedback on this public bugtracking:

There has not been an update on the elephant for a while, so many of you out there may ask themselves on what exactly we are working right now.
I am a bit carefull with giving concrete deadlines or release dates, but I want to provide as much as possible.
We decided to work more transparent, and let you know what we are doing.

Since we are using Mantis for doing intern Bugtracking, we will export a kind of roadmap for you which will look like this spoiler in an extra forum as a sticky thread:

  mantis preview

On the left side, you will have the possibillity to click those links and get to a thread with a detailed description. You will be able to give more informations on bugs that also happen at your system, or follow the solving progress of problems or features which interest you. We hope that this will help you to get more insight in the developing progress of the elephant.

This whole public bugtracking will be an extra forum inside the english pokerstrategy forum. We hope to be able to get this project started maybe even next week.

Btw. there are some spoilers if you read my screenshot exactly, what will be part of the next version ;)

And yes, we are fully aware that there is still no sng features in the list. Things take longer as expected, sorry for that, but most of our time is spend on bugtracking and speed optimziation as well as making sure all value calculations are correct.

Stay tuned for the next updates!

Maik
