« Parser Priorities | Main | Sprint Update "SnG - Here Comes the Graph"»

My picture!

Hi folks,

We need your help: We need a large amount of SNG hand history files to test the new parser engine. These hands are required for PartyPoker as well as for PokerStars and FullTilt Poker as we are implementing the next parser in one of the next sprints.

We do have some hands from our beta testers but we really need a large test base because there are a lot of tournament types to play and we simply can't play that many SNGs ourselves (we still have to code the new PokerStrategy.com Elephant :) ).

We do know, that you find it troublesome to send us your original hand history files with your nick name in it. Therefore we can provide you with a tool to anonymize your hand histories prior to sending. You will find the PokerStrategy.com Handhistory Anonymizer attached to this blog post: Just extract the archive and double click on the executable file. The archive also contains a manual on how to use the PokerStrategy.com Handhistory Anonymizer.

So we kindly ask you to:
1. Use the PokerStrategy.com Handhistory Anonymizer to create an anonymous copy of your original SNG hand history files
2. Pack those files
3. Send them via email to elephant(at)pokerstrategy.com

The more files you send the better the new parser engine will be.

Download: PokerStrategy.com Anonymizer

Thanks,
Michael

You only need SNG hand history for single-table-tournaments or also for multi-table-SNG and MTT?

is it also ok to send the data without using the Anonymizer? I do not care about my nick and can send it untouched.

@lol:
This is true for cash game hands. Unfortunately it is not true for tournaments (SnG or MTT), at least the well known sites don't have any.

So if you know of site for SnG hands, I'd apreciate it if you shared the knowledge instead of flaming around.

Apart from that, please watch your language. Consider this the first and final warning.

Hi guys,

First of all thank you very much for your support!

We're primarily looking for SnG hands (single and multi table), but do appreciate MTTs as well.

Yes, it's absolutely ok to send non-anonymised hands.

Thank you again.

Cheers,
M.

@fun101rockets:

According to FTP's T&Cs it's not allowed to "share hand histories with a friend" to "use the hand histories for hands that they have not personally participated in".

That is not the case here. The HHs are solely used for developing and testing the parser. They're not used for live play.

@fun101rockets, bordzter:

Yes, we can use HU and DON hand histories.

Thank you!

xTransparent : SnG and MTT?

I would like to know if you also planning to bring in MTT?

@xTransparent: Support for MTTs is on our list, although it's not the highest priority.

Right now we focus on SnGs (single and multi table).

BUT: At the moment it seems, that there isn't much difference between MT-SnGs and MTTs. Once we're done with SnGs, we'll have a look at the remaining effort for MTTs and decide what to do.
